2. Overview

Pixel War is a shared, public pixel canvas. To run the game we process a small amount of data. We do not sell your data, we do not show third-party ads, and we use no advertising trackers.

3. What we process & why

a) Account

• Anonymous account: when you first open the app we create an anonymous Firebase account (a random user ID). This lets you play and keep your progress without registering.
• Optional registration: if you create an account, we store your email address (and an encrypted password handled by Firebase Authentication).

b) Gameplay data

• Pixels you place (coordinates, colour, time), linked to your user ID.
• Game stats: number of pixels placed, daily streak, achievements, cooldown timestamps, premium status and your balance of purchased "instant pixels".

c) Technical data

• Your IP address is processed transiently by our hosting/edge providers (Cloudflare, Google Firebase) to deliver the service, prevent abuse and rate-limit. We do not build advertising profiles from it.
• A short-lived authentication token is sent with each pixel placement so the server can verify it is really you and enforce the cooldown.

d) Purchases

• In-app purchases (Premium subscription, instant-pixel packs) are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play and our purchase provider RevenueCat. We receive your purchase/subscription status and transaction identifiers — never your full payment details.

4. Public content

Pixels you place are public. They appear on one shared canvas visible to everyone, worldwide. The canvas itself stores only colours per coordinate — not your identity. Please don't place anything you wouldn't want to be public.

5. Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)

• Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) – to provide the game and your account.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) – security, abuse/fraud prevention, content moderation, and keeping the service stable.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) – where specifically requested; you can withdraw it at any time.

6. Processors & recipients

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, Hosting) – Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC.
• Cloudflare (edge API that validates and writes pixel placements) – Cloudflare, Inc.
• RevenueCat (purchase management) – once in-app purchases are enabled.
• Apple / Google Play – app distribution and payment.

Some providers are based in the USA. Transfers are safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

7. Retention

Account and stats are kept while your account exists. Technical/security logs are kept only briefly. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed (see Account & Data Deletion). Canvas pixels contain no personal data and remain part of the collective artwork.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Germany, your state Data Protection Authority). To exercise your rights, contact hello@pumpy-app.com.

9. Children

Pixel War is not directed to children under the age required in your country (generally 16 in the EU, 13 elsewhere). If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always available at this URL with the date above.

Pixel War ist eine gemeinsame, öffentliche Pixel-Leinwand. Für den Betrieb verarbeiten wir wenige Daten. Wir verkaufen keine Daten, zeigen keine Drittanbieter-Werbung und nutzen keine Werbe-Tracker.

3. Welche Daten & warum

a) Konto

• Anonymes Konto: Beim ersten Start legen wir ein anonymes Firebase-Konto an (zufällige Nutzer-ID), damit du ohne Registrierung spielen und deinen Fortschritt behalten kannst.
• Optionale Registrierung: Erstellst du ein Konto, speichern wir deine E-Mail-Adresse (Passwort verschlüsselt über Firebase Authentication).

b) Spieldaten

• Gesetzte Pixel (Koordinaten, Farbe, Zeit), verknüpft mit deiner Nutzer-ID.
• Statistiken: Anzahl Pixel, Tages-Streak, Erfolge, Cooldown-Zeitstempel, Premium-Status, Guthaben gekaufter „Sofort-Pixel".

c) Technische Daten

• Deine IP-Adresse wird vorübergehend von unseren Hosting-/Edge-Diensten (Cloudflare, Google Firebase) zur Auslieferung, Missbrauchsabwehr und Ratenbegrenzung verarbeitet. Es werden keine Werbeprofile gebildet.
• Bei jeder Platzierung wird ein kurzlebiges Authentifizierungs-Token gesendet, damit der Server dich verifizieren und den Cooldown durchsetzen kann.

d) Käufe

• In-App-Käufe (Premium-Abo, Sofort-Pixel) werden über Apple App Store / Google Play und unseren Abwickler RevenueCat verarbeitet. Wir erhalten nur Kauf-/Abo-Status und Transaktions-IDs – keine vollständigen Zahlungsdaten.

4. Öffentliche Inhalte

Gesetzte Pixel sind öffentlich und für alle weltweit auf einer geteilten Leinwand sichtbar. Die Leinwand speichert nur Farben pro Koordinate – nicht deine Identität. Platziere nichts, was nicht öffentlich sein soll.

5. Rechtsgrundlagen (Art. 6 DSGVO)

• Vertrag (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b) – Bereitstellung von Spiel und Konto.
• Berechtigte Interessen (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f) – Sicherheit, Missbrauchs-/Betrugsabwehr, Moderation, Stabilität.
• Einwilligung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a) – soweit ausdrücklich erfragt; jederzeit widerrufbar.

6. Auftragsverarbeiter & Empfänger

• Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Realtime Database, Hosting) – Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC.
• Cloudflare (Edge-API zur Validierung/Speicherung der Platzierungen) – Cloudflare, Inc.
• RevenueCat (Kaufabwicklung) – sobald In-App-Käufe aktiv sind.
• Apple / Google Play – Vertrieb und Zahlung.

Einige Anbieter sitzen in den USA. Übermittlungen sind durch EU-Standardvertragsklauseln und/oder das EU-US Data Privacy Framework abgesichert.

7. Speicherdauer

Konto und Statistiken werden gespeichert, solange dein Konto besteht. Technische/Sicherheits-Logs nur kurz. Bei Konto­löschung werden personenbezogene Daten entfernt (siehe Konto & Datenlöschung). Leinwand-Pixel enthalten keine personenbezogenen Daten.

8. Deine Rechte

Du hast Recht auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch sowie Widerruf von Einwilligungen. Du kannst dich bei einer Aufsichtsbehörde beschweren. Anfragen an hello@pumpy-app.com.

9. Kinder

Pixel War richtet sich nicht an Kinder unter dem in deinem Land erforderlichen Alter (i. d. R. 16 in der EU). Bei Hinweisen löschen wir entsprechende Daten.

10. Änderungen

Wir können diese Erklärung aktualisieren; die jeweils gültige Fassung steht unter dieser URL mit obigem Datum.
